So, having ended at the stake without any parents, teachers, or friends, I resurrected myself by reading good books. I set my life straight by reading countless books, fully envisioned my future, and began to prepare while enjoying solving math problems every day.
How did I respond to this parents' great trolling? I achieved the feat of replying with the simple solution of buying Ethereum, which afterward brought significant profit to the parents. During this period, I personally consulted for six months, leading the trends in cryptocurrency and blockchain, during which cryptocurrencies grew more than four times. Even if he didn’t make proper profits from my leading and consulting, or claimed it wasn't my doing, it's fine. It’s like saying that King Seonjo was the one who appointed Admiral Yi Sun-shin; hence, Admiral Yi did nothing remarkable—it was all Seonjo’s doing. But, no matter what anyone says, Yi Sun-shin is Yi Sun-shin. His achievements speak for themselves. Seonjo might have wanted to claim that Yi Sun-shin was nothing without him, but it's purely because of Yi Sun-shin that he survived. He may not acknowledge it till his death, but again, Yi Sun-shin is Yi Sun-shin. Anyway, I showed a 'heroic' response to this unprecedented great trolling of my parents, proving one's heroism not by self-claim but through actions. But, this doesn't quite fit the overall theme of this text, so I'll leave it at that.
Thus, we talk about a hero who was stabbed in the back by his parents, wiped out by friends, whipped in front by teachers, yet provided benefits to the parents, brought laughter to friends, and sprinkled respect to the teachers. Claiming to be a hero means nothing. But, it means that living and acting as a hero has significance and value. More important than the inner self is life itself. Life can't be prettied up. The truth will eventually reveal itself.
However, the hardships in the life of this hero were not an end but a beginning, because another great joy, the mortar 81, was now before him. I can talk about mortars with even more joy.
Life is 10% what happened to us, and 90% how we react to it.
This is why.
I tasted a rare pleasure in life, being beaten up in the public education system of South Korea with my hands and feet tied by my parents and teachers. I want to express my gratitude to my parents and the teachers that taught me. Those teacher brats, who only care about receiving their salary. Anyway, when another great joy, the mortar, came, I could feel the joy of being beaten up freely at least with my hands and feet untied. Until then, thanks to the great troll parents, I had been beaten with both hands and feet tied, but in the military and with mortars, I had the happy times of being beaten up with my hands or feet at least moving freely.
One of my favorite UFC scenes is where the female fighter extends her hand forward in a one-two punch while being unconscious. Knowing she's going unconscious, knowing she's losing in this state, she doesn't tap out but thinks only of how she can fight more to win, extending a one-two punch even as she loses consciousness. I believe in human potential. I utterly despise those who make excuses without even trying. Such people just make excuses and should get hit first. Or they need about two years of getting whirled around with a mortar 81 for discipline. I believe in human potential. I sincerely want to ask, have they even tried, have they even properly attempted this path?
Let's dive into a deeper conversation.
