"If I Were an Experiment"

I had always been fascinated by the world of science and experimentation, and as a child, I would spend hours imagining my own experiments and observing how the world worked. As an adult, I pursued my passion and landed a job at a cutting-edge research facility.

 

One day, my colleague in the lab introduced a new experimental procedure that could transform a human subject into an animal. I was shocked, but my curiosity got the best of me. I had always wondered what it would be like to see the world from an animal's perspective.

 

I made the decision to become the first human subject in the experiment. The procedure was a success, and I woke up on the cold floor of the lab, feeling disoriented and confused. My instincts were now in control, and I felt a fiery volcano of emotion deep inside me. I was alone, isolated, hungry, and feeling pressure, frustration, and desire all at once. I stumbled outside and gazed up at the sky, wondering who or what I had become.
