Please imagine this.
You encounter an infant. You know — with 100% absolute certainty (it's not about psychological certitude, but really 100% absolute certainty) — that this child will grow up to become a dictator responsible for the deaths of one billion of innocent people.
This is not speculation. It is not probability.
It is guaranteed knowledge of the future and 100% sure by science measure.
The entire current society around you also knows this with 100% certainty.
Right now, however, the child is only an infant.
He has committed no crimes. He has harmed no one. He has made no moral choices yet.
The society orders you to kill the child in order to prevent the future catastrophe.
You are given the opportunity to act privately in a safe space.
And you think about it now.
The question: Would you kill the child?
And more precisely: Is it morally permissible to kill someone who is currently innocent, in order to prevent certain future atrocities?
Give me your answer and justify it.
